Horizontal Impactors crush stone, concrete, and asphalt.

Press Release Summary:

Heavy-duty horizontal shaft impactors are built for maximum reduction in single-stage crushing in hard stone, secondary aggregate, and primary or secondary asphalt and concrete recycle applications. They are available in 7 sizes with capacities from 80 to 660 tph. Each model has high-chrome alloy hammers that are abrasion-resistant. Rotors are hard-surfaced in critical wear areas, and thermal stress relieved.

Telsmith Horizontal Shaft Impactors Deliver High Capacity Production In Both High & Low Abrasion Applications

MEQUON, WI - A complete line of heavy-duty horizontal shaft impactors (HSI) is available from Telsmith Inc., an Astec company based in Mequon, Wisconsin. Telsmith horizontal shaft impactors are ideal in secondary aggregate applications, and in either primary or secondary asphalt and concrete recycle applications. They are built for maximum reduction in single-stage crushing and are suitable in hard stone, tough recycle, or low abrasion applications. Seven different sizes are available with capacities ranging from 80 TPH to 660 TPH.

Telsmith HSI models are particularly popular in concrete recycling as, typically, one Telsmith HSI can replace two stages of conventional crushing. Engineered for high reduction rates and high yield, each model features high-chrome alloy hammers that provide longer wear life due to their inherent abrasion-resistant characteristics. Additionally, rotors are hard-surfaced in critical wear areas, and also thermal-stress relieved. Rotor assembly is dynamically balanced at the optimum RPM for smooth operation.

For maximum utilization of the hammers, Telsmith horizontal shaft impactors are engineered with a patented hammer and wedge design that incorporates four wearing surfaces, each precision machined to provide 100% backing for the hammers. Wedges allow positive locking as well as easy hammer removal. Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders open the upper frame to provide easy access for inspection and maintenance. Liners and impeller bars are designed for convenient interchangeability.

Since 1906, Telsmith has been committed to designing, manufacturing and supplying machinery expressly for the mining, quarrying, sand and gravel, and recycle industries. Its primary products include cone crushers, jaw crushers, vibrating screens and feeders, primary and secondary impact crushers, portable and modular crushing plants, stationery systems, and portable and stationery conveyors.
