Viking Introduces New Residential Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler with Coverage Areas Up to 16' x 22'
HASTINGS, MI - The Viking Corporation, a global leader in the manufacture of fire protection devices, announces the release of a 4.2K Residential Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler. This release expands the Viking Freedom(TM) residential fire sprinkler series, providing the market with a full line of frame-style and concealed sprinklers with exceptional flows and pressures.
Viking's newest sprinkler is the only residential sidewall sprinkler currently available for 16' x 22' (4,9m x 6,7m) coverage areas. It also has the best overall combination of flows and pressures across all room sizes of any horizontal sidewall.
The 4.2K Residential Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler (VK450) includes UL listing for residential installations below smooth, flat, horizontal ceilings at both 4"-6" (102mm - 152mm) and 6"-12" (152mm - 305mm) down from the ceiling. It is also listed below sloped ceilings with up to an 8/12 pitch. Available in 155°F/68°C and 175°F/79°C temperature ratings, this residential sprinkler comes standard in Brass, Chrome and White finishes, and can be installed surface-mounted or recessed. The sprinkler is also available in a cocoon option, which includes an installed recessed adapter and taped threads protected by a plastic cap that completely covers the sprinkler and adapter. It is shipped standard with a protective plastic clip that helps to protect against potential damage during shipping, handling and installation.
