Honeywell Unveils Hybrid Access Control Panel

NetAXS(TM) Now Available in North American Markets

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 27, 2007 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the launch of its new NetAXS(TM) hybrid access control panel to the North American security market. NetAXS is an innovative four-door programmable panel offering Web-based or PC-based software functionality. It is unique to the market because it gives users the ability to access and manage their information securely using any Web browser from virtually any location.

"NetAXS is designed to add next-generation Web capabilities to our access control products. For example, it extends the functionality of our popular N-1000 access control panels to ensure easy upgrades. So whether a customer is installing a new system or upgrading an existing one, the intuitive NetAXS configuration allows the installer to hang it up, plug it in and go," said John Smith, marketing manager, Honeywell.

NetAXS is also extremely adaptable and user-friendly. It offers simple installation and programming for small and medium-sized organizations including commercial offices, retail establishments, light industrial facilities and warehouses, and convenience stores.

Honeywell's NetAXS features a multi-user log in and is available in two enclosure options:

The large enclosure includes an access control panel, power supply, distributed relay module and battery backup. It provides a multitude of conveniences that make access control simple for first-time installers.

The small enclosure includes the control panel, suppressor, transformer and battery. It is ideal for customers looking to upgrade existing access control panels.
With the ability to replace most existing N-1000 control panels, NetAXS provides a cost-effective alternative to traditional PC-based systems. This allows customers to choose the level of security and functionality based on their business needs.
