Goleta, CA --. At last a rugged, well-sealed, 12 bit absolute version of a hollow shaft encoder is available for precise position control applications. Built around the popular HS35 incremental design, the HS35 absolute encoder from BEI
incorporates many of the same features, including: through and blind-shaft versions, a variety of shaft bores (up to 1 " in diameter) and two tether options. The encoder carries an IP65 environmental rating and operates from 0° to 70° C with extended operation to 85° C available. Hollow shaft encoders are
particularly suited for installations that have limited axial space on the shaft. With an overall installed length of about 2 inches, the HS35 absolute encoder makes for a very compact package.
