Hollaender Interna-Rail® VUE Glass Panel Railing System Provides Low Cost Alternative to Shoe Mounted Structural Glass Design
CINCINNATI, OHÂ – The Jim Pattison Auto Group of Surrey, British Columbia, working in conjunction with ABBARCH Architecture, Inc. out of Vancouver, were searching for a low cost alternative to a shoe mounted structural glass handrail system for new Jim Pattison Toyota and Jim Pattison Lexus automobile dealerships in Victoria, British Columbia. The Jim Pattison Auto Group represents 15 automobile brands across 24 locations in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Surrey, Coquitlam, Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Edmonton and Winnipeg.Â
Original designs for the new four level, 67,300 square foot Toyota dealership, and two level, 7,700 square foot Lexus dealership called for a shoe mounted structure glass design. ABBARCH Architecture, Inc., the designers of both facilities, however, had seen a sample of Hollaender® Manufacturing's Interna-Rail® VUE glass railing system with post captured glass. According to Dan Horner from ABBARCH, "I felt this railing would fulfill the client's needs while allowing them to save money in this area."
Ultimately, ABBARCH and Jim Pattison decided on the Hollaender Interna-Rail® VUE system with a clear anodized finish and 3/8 inch tempered glass infill panels.
