Suncor Stainless Introduces Their New Hoist Anchor Bases and Assemblies
Plymouth, MA – Suncor Stainless, Inc. has introduced their new stainless steel Hoist Anchor Base. This base is offered in multiple configurations, including partial assemblies and complete hoist assemblies to provide easy-touse components for industrial and marine lifting applications.
Suncor Stainless has always prided itself in providing a vast array of heavy duty hardware for large and small scale lifting and rigging applications. Much of their current stainless steel selection is load rated and forged to achieve optimal results. Recently, Suncor has raised the bar and added the Hoist Anchor Base family to their already expansive line of products. "We wanted to provide a different approach to the hoist rings and other hoisting products that are in the market today," says Patrick Striebel, President of Suncor Stainless. "We have created a product that combines the strength of a hoist ring, the versatility of a shackle and the corrosion resistance and durability of stainless steel." This creation now boasts a line of 36 components, featuring 4 anchor base configurations and 9 different sizes.
These new Hoist Anchor Bases can be offered as complete hoist assemblies, including the anchor base, fixed, pivoting shackle, threaded rod, washer and nut. They are also available as incomplete variations, such as threaded stud or shackle only. Anchor bases can be sold separately. These variations accommodate a variety of shackle types and allow for existing or custom length threaded rod to be used. The family of bases is offered in sizes ranging from 1/4" – 1" and made from grade 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. They are primarily used as a way to attach lifting points to objects with no natural attachments. The anchor base features a set screw for securing the threaded stud. The shackles have a 180° pivoting capability and the base can be secured in the desired position to provide a full range of motion. Suncor offers custom threaded stud lengths, matching nuts and washers and various shackle and pin styles to fit each size Hoist Anchor Base.
