Compact HMI Controller Reduces Equipment Costs while Simplifying Systems
PALATINE, Ill. - Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced the Magelis® XBT GC HMI Controller, designed to help industrial manufacturers increase production efficiency while simultaneously reducing both initial and ongoing costs throughout the machine life cycle. Featuring an extremely compact design, the HMI controller helps users achieve up to 15 percent savings on the total cost of their machine ownership, regardless of production run length or the level of customization.
The Magelis XBT GC HMI controller uses Schneider Electric's SoMachine(TM) automation software to combine human/machine interface technology with control system functions into a single product, simplifying system equipment. By enabling cutting-edge automation processes, the controller cuts initial purchase and long term costs by decreasing panel size, reducing spare parts and inventory, streamlining setup and programming, minimizing the need for an external PLC, and simplifying (or even eliminating) the need for cabling.
An all-in-one product, the Magelis XBT GC HMI controller comes ready to use, with fewer electrical diagrams and less wiring than other HMI controllers in its class. Once installed, its high-speed multitasking processor adapts to the typology of the machine, offering a complete range of screen types and connection options.
