Hitachi Power Tools Introduces a New Line of Flooring Nailers & Staplers

Norcross, GA, August. 21, 2009 Hitachi Power Tools today announced a new line of flooring products including two pneumatic flooring nailers and two staplers as well as a manually powered flooring nailer that does not require a compressor or hose. This line was added to serve the needs of the flooring industry, both professionally and for consumers who plan to tackle flooring installation projects on their own. Flooring nailers and staplers are essential for installing hardwood flooring and can save a significant amount of time and money on the job. This line is covered by Hitachi's industry leading 5-year limited warranty providing even more value and piece of mind.

Hitachi Pneumatic Flooring Nailers:

The NT50AF 2in. T & L Flooring Nailer accepts both T & L shaped 16-Gauge cleats (nails) from 1-3/16in. up to 2in. in length for installing ½in. or ¾in. domestic solid wood flooring. The NT50AF features a "Preferred Seating System," which guarantees accurate placement of each cleat at the proper angle and depth to produce straight boards and secure tongue and groove flooring. Additionally, the pneumatic flooring nailer is oil lubricated allowing for simple maintenance. The tool's housing is constructed from high strength aluminum for a lightweight (only 9 lbs), yet durable tool designed to endure continuous use. An integrated safety feature prevents accidental driving, which protects the user as well as the piece of wood flooring. The high capacity magazine holds up to 150 cleats, reducing downtime by requiring fewer reloads. This NT50AF flooring nailer comes with non-marring accessory shoe pads (½in. & ¾in.) to prevent damage to the floor and to fit a variety of flooring widths. It also comes with a non-marring hammer, safety glasses, a wrench set and carrying case for easy transport and storage. Additional accessories are sold separately for this nailer including a wide profile flooring shoe (#330389) for 9/16in. - ¾in. pre-finished wood flooring and imported/bamboo flooring, and a nail set for T and L cleats (#330328).

The NT50AGF 2in. Oil-less Flooring Nailer accepts T-shaped 16-Gauge cleats (nails) from 1-3/16in. up to 2in. in length and comes equipped to blind or face nail ¾in. domestic solid wood flooring. This pneumatic nailer is oil-free for less maintenance and to prevent potential oil stains on the flooring. The NT50AGF features a "Preferred Seating System," which guarantees accurate placement of each cleat at the proper angle and depth to produce straight boards and secure tongue and groove flooring. The tool's housing is constructed from high strength aluminum for a lighter weight (only 13 lbs), yet durable tool designed to endure continuous use on the jobsite. Also, an integrated safety feature prevents accidental driving, which protects the user as well as the piece of wood flooring, and a quick release gate automatically opens for easy clearance in the event of a nail jam. The high capacity magazine holds up to 175 cleats, reducing downtime by requiring fewer reloads. The NT50AGF uses T-shaped cleats resulting in less splitting and maximum holding power. This NT50AGF flooring nailer comes with a face nailing shoe and shoe pad for face nailing the first two and last six rows of tongue and groove flooring. It also comes with a non-marring hammer, safety glasses, wrench set, grease for lubrication and carrying case for easy transport and storage. Additional accessories are sold separately for this 2in. oil-less flooring nailer including a shoe base and pad for 9/16" solid wood flooring (#330458), a shoe base and pad for 33/32in. solid wood flooring (#330459), a bamboo accessory shoe for 5/8in. - ¾in. bamboo and imported solid wood (#330460), and a nail set for T cleats (#330328).

Hitachi Manual Flooring Nailer:

The NT50YF 2in. Manual Flooring Nailer is a multi-strike, air-less tool, which allows for installation without the need for a compressor and hose. The NT50YF accepts T-shaped 16-Gauge cleats (nails) from 1-3/16in. up to 2in. in length for installing 5/8in., ¾in. and 33/32in. domestic solid wood flooring. A ratcheting ram feature reduces the force necessary to set the cleat by allowing multiple blows and returning the ram only after the cleat is completely set. The NT50AF features a "Preferred Seating System," which guarantees accurate placement of each cleat at the proper angle and depth to produce straight boards and secure tongue and groove flooring. The high capacity magazine holds up to 150 cleats, reducing downtime by requiring fewer reloads. The NT50YF comes with a non-marring hammer, extension handle, safety glasses, a service parts kit and a carrying case for easy transport and storage. Additional accessories are sold separately for this 2in. manual flooring nailer including a face nailing shoe for face nailing the first two and last six rows of tongue and groove flooring (#330317), a thin flooring shoe for 3/8in. - 9/16in. solid wood flooring (#330318), a bamboo accessory shoe for 5/8in. - ¾in. bamboo and imported solid wood flooring (#330237), a nail set for T cleats (#330328), and a shim pack (#330629).

Hitachi Pneumatic Flooring Staplers:

The N5009AF 2in. Flooring Stapler drives 15.5-Gauge staples in 1-½in. and 2in. lengths, for installing ½in. or ¾in. domestic solid wood flooring. The N5009AF features a "Preferred Seating System," which guarantees accurate placement of each staple at the proper angle and depth to produce straight boards and secure tongue and groove flooring. The pneumatic stapler is oil lubricated for simple maintenance. The tool's housing is constructed from high strength aluminum for a lighter (only 9.1 lbs), yet durable tool designed to endure continuous use. An integrated safety feature prevents accidental driving, which protects the user as well as the piece of wood flooring. The high capacity magazine holds up to 150 staples, reducing downtime by requiring fewer reloads. This N5009AF flooring stapler comes with non-marring accessory shoe pads (½in. & ¾in.) to prevent damage to the floor and to fit a variety of flooring widths. It also comes with a non-marring hammer, safety glasses, a wrench set and carrying case for easy transport and storage. Additional accessories are sold separately for this 2in. flooring stapler including a wide profile flooring shoe for 9/16in. - ¾in. pre-finished wood flooring (#330389). This wide profile shoe may also be used for 5/8in. - ¾in. imported and bamboo flooring.

The N2503AF 1in. Twin Trigger Flooring Stapler drives 20-Gauge, 3/16in. crown staples with a 1in. length to install ¼in. to 7/16in. laminate and engineered wood flooring. The small 20-Gauge staples are also ideal for working with thin exotic hardwoods, providing less opportunity to dimple the flooring. A dual trigger design allows the user to comfortably work from either the front or rear of the tool to ensure proper positioning and operation of the tool. The tool-free adjustable shoe makes for easy changes when working with different floor thicknesses. This flooring stapler is lightweight and compact (only 3.2 lbs and 10-1/8in. in length), to easily maneuver and gain access to the tightest areas and with its soft grip handle it can be used for extended periods with less fatigue. The high capacity magazine holds up to 100 staples, reducing downtime by requiring fewer reloads. It also comes with safety glasses, a wrench set and carrying case for easy transport and storage.
