Styrolution Premieres New High-Impact Polystyrene Resin at the 2012 International Plastics Showcase



Superior cost-saving blending resin product set to debut

CHANNAHON, Ill., -- Styrolution -- the leading global styrenics supplier -- will launch its new high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) called Styrolution(TM) PS 6220, created specifically for its customers in the food service packaging industry, at the 2012 International Plastics Showcase in Orlando, which runs from April 2-5.

The new productis a cost-effective blending resin product created for packaging applications where HIPS is blended with unmodified polystyrene. It can be blended with general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) to customize toughness and stiffness properties based on application.

Styrolution(TM) PS 6220 offers customers simplicity in extrusion, since its high gloss properties can help eliminate the need for a co-extruded gloss layer. It also offers a high level of toughness when compared to most standard HIPS extrusion and molding grades.
