Hipot Testers offer interconnection capability.

Press Release Summary:

Models 2512 and 2515 are 250 and 500 Va Hipot Testers with max output of 2,500 Vac and 5,000 Vac, respectively. Both offer 100 mA test current and can be interconnected to Model 2630 or 2660, 30 or 60 A ground bond testers to form complete test system that will perform AC Hipot and Ground Bond tests through single DUT connection. Microprocessor-controlled hipot testers can be used as stand-alone units and include memory storage of test parameters.

Original Press Release:

High Current Hipot Testers Now Feature Interconnection Capability

Lake Forest, Illinois, Oct, 2003 - Announced today by Slaughter Company is the interconnection capability of their 2512 and 2515 Hipot Testers. These testers can now be interconnected to Slaughter's 2630 or 2660, 30 or 60 Amp Ground bond testers to form a complete test system. The 2512 is a 250 VA Hipot tester and the 2515 is a 500VA Hipot tester. These Hipot testers offer 100 mA of test current that allow testing of high capacitance products. The 2512 has a maximum output of 2,500 VAC and the 2515 has a maximum output of 5,000 VAC. This test system will perform AC Hipot and Ground Bond tests through a single Device Under Test (DUT) connection and is well suited for hipot testing of heating elements, appliances and motors that often require ground bond tests. The test systems increases the efficiency of a work station as it eliminates multiple test connections and allows tests to be run with a single press of a test button.

The 2512 and 2515 can also be used as stand-alone Hipot testers. They are designed with microprocessor control that provides an easy-to-use interface while adding to the safety and reliability of the instrument. The instrument provides simple menu keypads so that the user's can easily set-up the instrument to their desired parameters. These testers also feature memory storage of the test parameters. Test parameters are automatically saved once the instrument is powered off. This prevents users from entering their test parameters each time the instrument is powered on. The electronic ramp and dwell timers provide a timed and gradual method to perform the tests. This makes the instrument more consistent and reliable. With prices starting at only $1,495, these testers are a great value offering advanced features and test capability at a cost-effective price.
