Hinged Shaft Collars Eliminate Fumbling and Lost Screws

A line of hinged shaft collars that are ideally suited for applications requiring frequent assembly and disassembly in tight spaces is available from Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Stafford Hinged Shaft Collars feature a triple-link hinge and a captive clamping screw to eliminate fumbling and lost screws in applications requiring frequent assembly and disassembly; especially in tight spaces.

Providing the same holding power as standard two-piece collars, these hinged collars have a smooth bore for protecting expensive shafts and unlike set-screw collars, will not crush thin-wall tubing.

Designed for a wide range of applications, Stafford Hinged Shaft Collars can be modified with tapped holes on the face or O.D. to attach a variety of sensors and components. Available in steel and stainless steel in two grades, they can be supplied in over 25 sizes from three eighths inch to four inch I.D. and 16 metric sizes from 6 mm to 50 mm I.D.

Stafford Hinged Shaft Collars are priced from $4.62 ea., depending upon material and size. Literature and pricing are available upon request.
