Highland Unveils New Developments in High Rise Fall Protection at CONEXPO

OTTAWA - Highland Safety Systems is announcing that a combination of engineering analysis and physical testing has demonstrated that their EDGE7 integrated fall protection system meets the strength requirements of all known North American regulations.

Ms. Yvonne Kearns, Product Manager, said, "What is unique about EDGE7 is that the patented system satisfies the OSHA 29CFR1926 strength requirements as both a passive restraint (guardrail) system and as a fall arrest tie-off anchor, with an anchor point readily available every 7.5 feet.  We are not aware of another system that can make this claim." Anchorage specifications have now been engineered that allow the system to meet all known requirements including those from OSHA and the requirements of all Canadian provinces.

Toronto area rental partner Stephenson's Rental Service's Vice President of Fleet Services Rob Wilson had this to say, "Highland's EDGE7 guardrail system provides an integrated tie-off ring allowing the user to save time and money in the highly competitive Toronto construction rental market."  This highlights the importance of productivity with absolutely no compromise on worker safety.

Highland will be exhibiting at CONEXPO 2014 March 4 - 8 in Las Vegas, at booth # 65506 with EDGE7 system components on display.
