Higher Telemetry Bandwidth, and AC Coupling Now Available for AT-4400 Digital Telemetry System

Provides capabilities for measurement of extended modes of resonance

SCHENECTADY, NY (Oct. 4) -Accumetrics Associates induction-powered 16-bit AT-4400 digital telemetry system is now available with an optional higher bandwidth to meet the needs of engineers who need to measure extended modes of shaft resonance/ torsional vibration.

The AT-4400, which in standard form offers 2 kHz bandwidth with DC coupling, is now available with 10 kHz bandwidth, 26485 samples per second of 16 bit resolution sample rate, and AC or DC coupling.

Created for applications such as on-vehicle testing, dynamometers, industrial drives, torsion vibration testing, and machine tools, the AT-4400 telemetry system is easy to apply, offers low noise and high accuracy, and is simple to operate. It requires no initial calibration, and its inductive power eliminates the need for battery changes during long-term monitoring. By mounting strain gages directly on the shaft and clamping the AT-4400 split collar around it, users can obtain torque measurements without breaking existing shaft systems to install in-line transducers.

The AT-4400 offers a number of advantages, including simplicity of installation and operation, superb data quality, the ability to operate in highly corrosive or dirty environments, and a high degree of adaptability for special needs. It has been widely applied in a variety of industries, including automotive, power generation, and aerospace.

Accumetrics Associates supplies advanced digital rotor telemetry equipment to manufacturers and users of rotating machinery throughout the world. By adapting advanced aerospace technology to rotating machines, Accumetrics has positioned itself as a worldwide technological leader and has established alliances with leading manufacturers of motors, generators, and turbomachinery.
