Safety Flag Company of America Offers Highly Visible 146" Fluorescent Windsock
CENTRAL FALLS, RI, December 6, 2007 - The Safety Flag Company of America is offering 146" windsocks (WS36), more than 12' long, to go with its 36" long and 96" long series of highly visible fluorescent windsocks.
The windsocks are made in Safety Flag's Central Falls, Rhode Island, facility. They are double-stitch sewn in reinforced vinyl coated fluorescent fabric for durability and visibility, particularly in open areas where wind can be strong and capricious.
Like the 36" and 96" Safety Flag windsocks (WS10 and WS18, respectively), these are available with heavy-duty windsock hardware for new installations or as replacements for worn or faded windsocks.
According to Norman Bernson, president of the 54-year-old firm, airports often upgrade to larger, more easily seen fluorescent windsocks when older, smaller windsocks can be replaced.
The 146" windsocks have 36" throats, a standard size that allows for easy replacement of lighter, weaker windsocks.
