A new series of high-torque motors from Bosch Rexroth's Electric Drives and Controls division improves accuracy and dynamic response.
The new MBT series of high-torque motors from Bosch Rexroth features direct-drive technology that eliminates mechanical drivetrain elements. This not only simplifies machine design, but also improves accuracy and dynamic response.
The synchronous frameless motors produce torque of up to 3820 ft-lbs (4500 newton-meters) at speeds from 100 to 750 rpm. The motor also exhibits extremely low torque ripple, making it ideally suited for robots, rotary tables, plastic injection molding, woodworking and other special machine applications.
The MBT torque motors are designed for liquid cooling and have built-in temperature sensors to protect the motor windings against thermal overload.
