High-Tech Gases Solve Challenges for Plastic Foam and Complex Molded Parts

Murray Hill & New Providence, N.J., U.S. - New high-tech supply and control systems for cryogenic gases from Linde can help plastics manufacturers and designers address a variety of challenges - from small, intricate parts where water cooling is ineffective, to mold filling, all providing production efficiencies.
High-tech, cryogenic gas technology provides rapid cooling using an inert gas, typically liquid carbon dioxide (CO2), or nitrogen (N2), for molding, extruding and foaming applications.
"Precise cooling of injection-molded and gas-assisted injection-molded parts with complex geometries is just one area where our high-tech systems excel. 2) High-pressure N2 boosting system for gas assist injection molding
3) Cost-effective, high-pressure system for CO2
4) Spot cooling device for mold hot spots
Precision cooling and pressurizing systems are important for manufacturing a range of engineered plastics parts for automotive, aerospace, electronics, appliances and MIL-spec applications. The N2 or CO2 may cool the polymer product from in- or outside a mold, or just focus on a specific spot.
