Business Applications Looking for High Performance Doors Can Turn to Wayne Dalton in a Flash

ADV-X Comes in Five Models for a Variety of Specifications

LEWISVILLE, Texas – The Flash, Jeff Gordon, Usain Bolt and Wayne Dalton all have something in common, they want to go fast. Wayne Dalton is entering the world of high speed doors, bringing innovation to the category with five new options. The new ADV-X line is designed to help architects, contractors, business owners and dealers meet their commercial needs like never before.

“Our ADV-X High Speed doors are a continuation of the innovative designs and applications customers have come to expect from Wayne Dalton,” said Joe Dachowicz, vice president of marketing for Wayne Dalton. “Models 881 through 885 are high quality door solutions for speed and will be a huge offering for us. This launch marks an entirely new selection of commercial doors that we’re able to provide for businesses, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to get started with customers that have high speed needs.”

The strutless Model 881 offers an airtight curtain with an independently-tested air infiltration rating, as well as a patent-pending curtain lock, allowing the door to withstand pressure. Model 882 opens at speeds of up to 65 inches per second* and comes with easy-to-replace panels. Its curtain struts are designed for easy replacement while minimizing the deflection that can typically affect the middle of the door. Both models are designed for interior commercial applications.

Models 883 and 884 are strutted, exterior fabric doors, perfect for manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, mining, transit, food and beverage or parking applications. Independently tested, Model 883 features pressure resistance of up to 76 mph*, while Model 884 provides pressure resistance of up to 158 mph*, making it the industry leader when compared to similar doors in its category.

The most powerful door in the lineup is the Model 885, Wayne Dalton’s Extreme Exterior High Speed Rubber door. It is made of rugged, petrochemical-resistant NBR rubber and is capable of withstanding winds up to 180 mph and operable in winds up to 76 mph*.

All doors in the ADV-X line come standard with features ideal for commercial applications. Each model was designed to be low maintenance with a self-repairing breakaway feature that minimizes lost time to repair the door if it’s been hit and built-in impact detection, stopping the door from continuing to open or close when hit and minimizing further damage. ADV-X doors were also created to be high cycle, coming with a springless design, direct gear drive system and variable frequency drive. Safety features include two sets of infrared sensors to detect possible obstructions, a door stop device, and a wireless reversing safety edge. Select models of ADV-X doors can be used in cold rooms, clean rooms or pharmacy applications.
