High Speed Data Recorder has 4, 8, or 16 input channels.

Press Release Summary:

Portable GEN2i can record measurement data directly to integrated solid state disk at speeds up to 20 MB/sec, or can store data temporarily on RAM of input modules. Device offers isolated voltage inputs with 200 kS/sec per channel and bridge and IEPE modules up to fast inputs that support 100 MS/sec. Operating with Windows 7, modular, PC based unit features integrated high resolution 17 in. touchscreen and menu driven operation.

Portable Data Recorder GEN2i with Genuinely Simple Operation

Marlboro, MA- The new data recorder GEN2i from HBM is especially suitable, because of its compact size and simple operation, for the sectors of maintenance, service and commissioning. The GEN2i is equipped with four, eight or sixteen input channels and therefore offers sufficient flexibility, even for demanding measurement tasks. The palette of input amplifiers ranges from isolated voltage inputs with 200 kS/s per channel and bridge and IEPE modules up to fast inputs that support 100 MS/s, which are suitable for fault-tracing in electric systems or transient data acquisition during ballistic tests. The measurement data can be written directly to disk at speeds up to 20 MB/S onto the integrated semi-conductor hard drive (Solid State Disk) or temporarily stored at far higher rates in the RAM of the input modules.

As the state-of-the-art successor to its popular predecessor VISION XP, which was sold under the brand name NICOLET (this brand is the property of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Corporation), the GEN2i is characterized by portability, simple operation and rapid processing of even large quantities of data.

The modular and flexible GEN2i is based on a modern PC that operates with the new operating system Windows 7 and is therefore equipped for the future. The "Perception Standard" software installed on the system supports a unique dual operating concept. In mobile applications, the GEN2i can be controlled completely from the integrated high resolution 17" touchscreen. Simple menus enable device settings and all important functions such as measurement Start/Stop, sampling rate or channel settings are available directly via "buttons" on the screen. This makes GEN2i a data acquisition system which can be easily operated, even by less trained users. For more advanced applications, the user interface can be set to "Perception Complete" and a mouse and keyboard can be connected. Then all of Perception's software features are available to the user. This allows, where required, optional software modules such as channel math or FFT analysis to be installed and used.
