High Speed Applicator for Security Tags

ID Technology offers a line of high-speed Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) taggers for applying AM (acousto-magnetic) and RF (radio frequency) tags for manufacturing and/or packaging lines. Because of pressure by large retailers, many manufacturers and packagers have been required to implement source tagging into their manufacturing operations. Source tagging gives retailers the option of open merchandising, even of high-theft products, because the anti-theft tags trigger alarms at or near store exits.

The Mini-ST can apply tags up to 400 PPM with higher throughputs possible by utilizing multiple heads. The Mini-ST is 50% smaller than existing label applicators and can be easily integrated into an existing retail product manufacturing operation. Because the Mini-ST has been designed specifically for these two types of labels, there are no adjustments necessary. Utilizing mechanical grippers instead of a peel bar makes the machine reliable and accurate.

For higher throughput a multi-head controller links multiple heads. A tabletop mount can be used for manual operations and tooling is available for all RF & AM tags designed for auto-application.

ID Technology, a Pro Mach Operating Partner, is a national supplier of labeling, coding and marking systems, as well as, peripheral equipment and supplies.
