High-Solids Graft Polyols suit load-bearing applications.
Press Release Summary:
Intended for specialty slab applications, Pluracol 5250 features 50% solids content that allows for firm foam and can be used in high-load-bearing applications. It can be customized to lower percent solids graft polyol at manufacturing site. With 45% solids content that maximizes load bearing properties of flexible slabstock products, Pluracol 4600/4800 slab foam graft polyols are formulated with low volatile inhibitors, which can reduce VOC levels in customers' final products.
Original Press Release:
BASF Introduces New Line of High Solids Graft Polyols
WYANDOTTE, MI - BASF today announced that it is introducing a new line of high solids graft polyols called Pluracol 5200 series. The first market entry in this series is Pluracol 5250 polyol, which is a graft polyol for specialty slab applications.
The 50 percent solids content of Pluracol 5250 allows for firmer foam and can be used in high-load-bearing applications. Pluracol 5250 polyol is also quite versatile and can be customized to a lower percent solids graft polyol at the customer's manufacturing site, if desired.
In addition to the 5200 series, BASF Polyurethanes offers a strong product line of graft polyols, the Pluracol 4600 and 4800 series:
The high solids (45 percent) Pluracol 4600 series maximize the load bearing properties of flexible slabstock products, such as furniture, bedding, carpet cushions and protective packaging.
Slab foam graft polyols from BASF are formulated with low volatile inhibitor components, which can reduce VOC levels in customers' final products.
The Pluracol 4800 series of graft polyols are designed to meet the specifications for high resilient foams, and are commonly blended with BASF's full line of conventional molded polyols to make high-load-bearing flexible foams.
