HEGA Filters remove hazardous gaseous contaminants.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for use in air handling containment systems, HEGA (High-Efficiency Gas Adsorber) filters feature high-impact plastic frames and V-bed design that channels air through multiple beds of adsorbent to reduce resistance to airflow. Products, available with sorbent media in 1 or 2 in. bed depths, are offered in fluid-seal or gasket-seal configurations. Fully incinerable filters may be changed using bag-in/bag-out procedure to protect service personnel.

New Plastic-Framed HEGA Filters Contain Gaseous Contaminants

Riverdale, N.J., September 2005 - A new line of HEGA (High-Efficiency Gas Adsorber) filters from Camfil Farr provides effective removal of hazardous gaseous contaminants from air handling containment systems. The HEGA filter frames are manufactured of high-impact plastic that offers a less costly alternative to metal-framed devices. An innovative V-bed design channels air through multiple beds of adsorbent, reducing resistance to airflow. Typically installed in systems that include pre-filtration and HEPA filtration, the HEGA filters may be changed using a bag-in/bag-out procedure to protect service personnel during changeout.

Camfil Farr HEGA filters are available with high efficiency sorbent media in 1" or 2" bed depths to meet any gaseous filtration demand. Available in fluid-seal or gasket-seal configurations, the filters are easy to handle, are fully incinerable, and are less likely to damage containment bags during changeout. Applications include research and manufacturing facilities in the industrial, medical, biotech, chemical, government/military, nuclear, pharmaceutical and veterinary industries.

Camfil Fair has the unique capability to manufacture all of its containment system components in-house in ISO 9001:2001 facilities, providing customers with optimum compatibility and single-source responsibility. In addition, every component undergoes a quality assurance procedure that meets or exceeds virtually any published procedure or standard, notably ASME NQA-1.
