Low-Profile, High-Performance Heat Sinks for Power Modules Overcome Limitations of Conventional Heat Sinks



NORWOOD, MA, July 31, 2003 - Advanced Thermal Solutions' powerICE(TM) heat sinks are low profile, high-performance devices that optimize the thermal management of PCB-mounted power modules in spatially constrained applications having inadequate airflow.

Using the patented ATS powerICE(TM) heat sinks enables circuit designers to achieve higher PCB performance levels than possible with conventional, over-sized heat sinks, which may have excessive spreading resistance.

Ideal for bypassed and unducted flow conditions, compact ATS powerICE(TM) heat sinks save space, and their light weight helps reduce costs by eliminating the need for supplemental mechanical mounting clips.

Standard off-the-shelf models of ATS powerICE(TM) heat sinks are priced as low as $4 apiece for high-volume purchases. Small quantity pricing is higher. Custom designs can be provided. Depending on volume, delivery lead-time is 4 to 6 weeks.
