QFT Heat-Shinkable Shapes Provide Convenient, Configurable Electrical Transitions
HARRISBURG, PA -- April 16, 2003 - Raychem QFT configurable heat-shrink transitions from Tyco Electronics are a convenient way to form a watertight seal around cable splices. QFT configurable transitions protect against rough mechanical conditions and corrosion while maintaining desirable electrical insulation properties. Special crimps are employed to configure the shape to the specific application. Their high shrink ratio and configurability allow the product line to handle most transitions with only three product sizes. These products can be used in a wide range of applications in automobiles and computers as well as industrial and commercial electrical devices.
QFT transitions are made from black polyolefin and resist exposure to fluids including water, engine oils, hydraulic fluids, gasoline and cleaning fluids. Additionally, QFT transitions can be used in temperature ranges from -20 deg. C to 70 deg. C.
Pricing ranges from $1.73 to $3.80 each depending on size and volume.
