Heat Resistant Coating resists thermal gradients.

Press Release Summary:

Enviroline® 405HT withstands high temperature water, oil, and gas in addition to produced water or seawater. It resists combination of water with high-temperature oil or gas. It features high-solids, single-coat, fast cure technology. Applied at 30-35 mil DFT and exposed to internal temperature of 194°F and thermal gradient of 72°F for 14 days, products' Gas, Hydrocarbon, and Water Phases displayed good adhesion results and no blisters.

New Enviroline Heat Resistant Coating Beating the Competition

FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, JULY 21, 2004 The test results are in and Enviroline® 405HT Heat Resistant Coating is proving to be one of the best materials on the market to withstand high temperature water, oil & gas, produced water or seawater.

Providing resistance to high temperature water or oil & gas is no major accomplishment - Enviroline has been doing this for years. But it's the ability to resist thermal gradients, and the combination of water with high temperature oil or gas, producing a much more aggressive environment, which has been a challenge for traditional epoxies...until now.

A major oil company recently tested Enviroline 405HT as well as other high temperature coatings at Charter Coatings Services Ltd. as part of an extensive evaluation of coatings for the Canadian Oil Patch. The results of the tests verified Enviroline 405HT surpasses the competition in high temperature performance. This kind of excellent performance, coupled with Enviroline's high solids, single coat, fast cure technology, has led Enviroline 405HT to be used widely in the oil & gas industry throughout Ecuador and Canada by companies such as Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (CNRL) and EnCana Ecuador.

Although details of the major oil company's testing have not been released to the public, internal Atlas Cell Test results for Enviroline 405HT are available and display the same excellent results. Applied at 30-35 mils DFT, Enviroline 405HT was exposed to an internal temperature of 194F (90C) and a thermal gradient of 72F (40C) for 14 days. The Gas (Vapor), Hydrocarbon (Kerosene/Toluene @ 1:1 (v/v)) and Water (2% NaCl in Distilled Water) Phases all displayed good adhesion results and no blisters.
