Spirol Heat Insertion Equipment for Inserts

DANIELSON, CT - Spirol International offers low cost and flexible solutions for post-mold insert installation into thermoplastics. Standard heat insert drivers range from manual to fully automatic and can be customized to meet your installation requirements. Heat insertion allows for easier, repeatable set-ups, improved and consistent insert performance, and easy in-process control. Preset, consistent air pressure and temperature settings assure uniform insert installation and maximum performance each and every time.

Automatic Insert Drivers (Model HA) are completely self-contained. The insert is oriented in a vibratory feeder and fed to a heated shuttle mechanism that positions the insert directly underneath the insertion quill. The shuttle is mounted on a retracting mechanism that positions the exit bushing as close to the part as possible for reliable insertion, retracting out of the way for ease of loading and unloading.

Semi-Automatic Insert Drivers (Model HP) require that the insert be manually loaded into the part. The pneumatic powered action of the machine, coupled with an adjustable timer completes the installation of the insert when actuated.

Manual Insert Drivers (Model HM) require that the insert be manually loaded into the part. The operator then completes the installation by pulling the arbor press lever. An internal "air spring" does the actual insertion, resulting in consistent, repeatable performance. These are particularly useful in prototype applications.
