Mount Prospect, Ill., September 7, 2006 - Bosch Power Tools and Accessories announced the launch of its new 1944LCDK Heat Gun Kit with a new digital programming capability and easy-to-read LCD display. For professional heat gun users looking for precision heating capabilities, the new Bosch Heat Gun is the solution for a broad range of applications and industries.

The 13 AMP Bosch 1944LCDK Heat Gun provides 109 temperature settings ranging from 120° F to 1,200° F in 10° increments and 10 airflow settings ranging from 8.8 to 17.6 cubic feet per minute (cfm). Both temperature and airflow are clearly shown in the new easy-to-read LCD display.

Frequent heat gun users will especially appreciate the ability to simply set and store four specific temperature and airflow combinations in the 1944LCD. Quick and easy recall of the desired settings for common applications will simplify any task. And with over 1000 different temperature and blower combinations available, the right level of heat and airflow can be stored for just about any application. For certain applications, such as stripping old paint and varnishes, softening glues, drying paint and other finishes more quickly, or shrinking electrical insulation tubing over low-voltage wiring splices, the 1944LCD's programming capability not only prevents overheating, but also the endless frustration associated with ruined work.
