Heat Exchangers have compact, plate-and-frame design.

Press Release Summary:

Plateflow(TM) heat exchangers provide close temperature control of fluids for heat recovery applications where space is of concern. Offered as alternative to shell-and-tube exchangers, products produce countercurrent flow and feature removable plates for service or maintenance. Units can be specified in 20 different models for heat transfer surface as high as 9,180 ft². Products are also suited for CPI applications.

Plate-and-Frame Heat Exchangers Offer More Cooling in Less Space

Buffalo, New York, March, 2005... Plateflow(TM) heat exchangers from ITT Standard are designed to provide close temperature control of fluids for heat recovery applications where space is a prime consideration. The compact, plate-and-frame design offers an attractive alternative to shell-and-tube exchangers, especially for many CPI applications.

Highly efficient countercurrent flow yields heat transfer coefficients that are three to five times greater than other types of exchangers. The units can be specified in 20 different models, for heat transfer surface of as high as 9,180 square feet. Plates are easy to remove for service or maintenance.

ITT Standard (http:\www.ittstandard.com) is a division of ITT Industries (http:\www.ittind.com) which is a leading worldwide-diversified manufacturing company with three primary business segments: Automotive, Defense & Electronics, and Fluid Technology. ITT Standard was the first U.S. manufacturer of heat exchangers to achieve ISO 9001 certification. A pioneer in the development of heat transfer technology, ITT Standard has been an industry leader for more than 75 years.
