Heat Conductive Compound offers broad temperature range.

Press Release Summary:

With temperature range of -250 to +1,750°F, graphite-filled, putty-like Thermatrace TC optimizes thermal efficiency of steam tracers, heating tapes, coils, and stripes. Cured compound is water resistant, as well as resistant to acid fumes and salts, and unaffected by oils, greases, and organic solvents. There are no toxic materials or off gases. Applied by trowel or pneumatic pump, Thermatrace TC will air dry in 24-48 hr, or can be heated to 185°F for immediate use.

New Multi-Range Heat Conductive Compound

Dylon Industries Inc. has recently developed Thermatrace TC, a high temperature, graphite filled putty-like material that provides the BROADEST temperature range available in heat conductive compounds. It will significantly increase the heat transference from one surface to another and reduce hot spots, permit heat sources to operate at lower temperatures, prolong heating element life, lower power consumption, and reduce initial heat-up time.

Dylon Thermatrace TC has a temperature range from -250°F to +1750°F (-121 °C to +954°C). It was primarily developed to increase the thermal efficiency of steam tracers, heating tapes, coils and strips. The cured compound is water resistant, highly resistant to acid fumes and salts, and is unaffected by oils, greases and organic solvents. There are no toxic materials or off gasses in Thermatrace TC.

Dylon Thermatrace TC may be applied by trowel or pnemautic pump on process piping, insulated electrical tracing, heat blankets and plate coils. Thermatrace TC will air dry in 24 to 48 hours, or can be heated to 185°F (85°C) for immediate use. Thermatrace TC can be diluted with ordinary tap water to a desired consistency. Application equipment is easily cleaned with soap and water.

For applications that do not requre a permanent bond, Dylon also offers Thermatrace NH. Thermatrace NH has a temperature range -200°F to +400°F (-93°C to +204°C). It is designed to increase the thermal efficiency of cartridge heaters or tracers that need to be easily removed.

With over 30 years experience in manufacturing graphite-based products Dylon has developed a very helpful engineering guide for Thermatrace TC. For further information and this free brochure featuring information on many of Dylon's products, please call or write:
