TC Software, Inc. Launches ConnectMate® Engine 2007

Streamlined integration optimized for the smallest to the largest enterprises.

August 16, 2007 -- TC Software, Inc. (www.objecttcs.com), the developer of ConnectMate, a robust interface engine that delivers the latest in advanced integration technology, announces CONNECTMATE® ENGINE 2007. ConnectMate® Engine 2007 has been designed to help healthcare organizations realize their interoperability goals and to help healthcare providers proactively manage patient care across the community.

ConnectMate® Engine integrates exchanges, translates and routes EDI messages between and within system networks on a real-time basis. It's ideal for message brokering, document management, decision support, and analytical data processing. Also, ConnectMate® Engine delivers comprehensive support for HL7, X12, EDIFACT and NCPDP integration between heterogeneous systems all in a single product at one low price unmatched by our competition.

"We first began our relationship with TC Software's Ahmet Taylor in 2003," said Mark Henderson, Chief Information Officer of Memorial Hermann Baptists Hospitals, Beaumont, TX. "The ConnectMate HL7 interface engine has saved our organization countless dollars in integration costs to 3rd party vendors. TC Software is able to quickly turnaround interfaces, making adjustments on the fly that are unheard of in this ever-evolving industry. The ConnectMate engine is incredibly reliable and easy to monitor. When coupled with a talented and innovative developer, the possibilities are only limited by ones imagination. Mr. Taylor brings all of these skills to the table along with a tireless enthusiasm for squeezing every bit of possibility out of every project. In today's cost-conscious healthcare market, ConnectMate provides us with an affordable solution that is second to none."

ConnectMate® Engine helps healthcare organizations seamlessly integrate transactions by providing an "out-of-the-box" tool set with scalable capabilities. Thereby, allowing our customers to integrate clinical, financial, and administration transactions across the enterprise without adding costly modules and third party products along the way.

"We have in 90 days gone from wondering how we could possibly manage to move from 13 point to point interfaces on our RIS within 18 months, to a plan that will have consolidated all of our interfaces onto ConnectMate Engine 2007 within 6 months from initial go live," said Mike Adams, Director of Clinical Systems, River Oaks Imaging and Diagnostic, Houston, TX.

The release of ConnectMate® Engine 2007 offers the following enhancements:

o The ConnectMate Studio application allows you to build integration solutions

ConnectMate Studio provides a graphical interface that enables you to build integration network diagrams, translations between different message formats and a scripting editor for writing custom code components. All of your development, incremental testing, deployment and debugging are performed using the ConnectMate Studio.

o Support for C# and Visual Basic .Net Scripting and Extensibility

ConnectMate provides a scripting interface to interact with the execution environment of the runtime message engine. As messages travel through the engine, clients can control the flow of execution and manipulate the message content using twenty four script based event handlers that are triggered by the messaging engine.

o Interactive VBScript and JScript Debugger

ConnectMate Studio 2007 is packaged with an integrated debugging tool. This provides the ability to set break points in script code. When executing the engine in debug mode, it will stop at any break points that have been set and steps through the code. This feature also provided the ability to view the current value of attributes and variables at the point of hitting a break point. Values can also be modified to see the impact of code changes.

o Engine Thread Process Groups

ConnectMate(TM) Engine 2007 provides the ability to configure the number of interface connections that run in each run time process. This provides two advantages:

o Optimized performance by having multiple processes run on the server
o If a distinct component of functionality should fail in a specific process, then the rest of the ConnectMate processes running on that server will not be affected.

o Bridging JAVA and .Net

Using ConnectMate® Engine 2007 robust WebSphere MQ support, JAVA based applications can call upon ConnectMate® Engine 2007 to provide communication, routing and transformation services for any JAVA based platforms.

o Alaris Gateway Protocol Support

ConnectMate® Engine 2007 fully supports integration with the Cardinal Alaris Gateway server to capture infusion, alarm, and monitoring events which enable numerous patient safety related applications.

o Expanded options for configuring parsers

ConnectMate® Engine 2007 comes packaged with all the schemas needed to parse healthcare industry standard message formats which include HL7, X12, EDIFACT and NCPDP. Many new options have been added to accommodate the widest range of application needs in the market.
