Larson Electronics Announces Addition of Corrosion Resistant Hazardous Location Emergency Light
Larson Electronics has announced the addition of an explosion proof LED light fixture designed for corrosion resistance and emergency backup operation in the event of power failures. The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-LED Hazardous Area LED Light Fixture is a fully stainless steel light fixture equipped an automatic battery backup system that provides continued illumination even in the event of total power failures.
The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-LED Hazardous Area LED Light Fixture is designed to provide reliable and corrosion resistant high performance lighting in applications where failsafe operation explosion proof protection is needed. This heavy duty explosion proof light fixture features a stainless steel housing with stainless steel hardware for excellent durability and resistance to the effects of corrosive salt water and wet environments. The fixture is fitted with a pair of four foot long LED T series tube lamps which produce more light output than comparable T8 fluorescent tubes, but use less power and have twice the service life with a 50,000 hour rating. This LED light fixture contains no ballast, but instead has a built in battery backup system that will operate the fixture automatically in the event a power failure occurs. The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-LED installs using included standard flat surface mounting flanges, and is an ideal lighting solution for offshore oil platforms, marinas, refueling areas, and any location where corrosion protection and Class 1 Division 2 explosion proof approval is required.
