Original Press Release:

Binder 12-Pin Harsh Environment Connector

Camarillo, CA -- Binder has introduced a 12-pin version to its Harsh Environment Connector (HEC) in the power segment. Like the existing 8-pin version, the connectors are UL and VDE approved and offer the same degree of protection of IP68 and IP69K.

The HEC connectors are designed and developed for use in rough environmental conditions such as the agricultural and industrial industries.

The HEC connector is designed with a 3-point bayonet locking mechanism for a safe and secure locking design and constructed of a lightweight plastic. These connectors are highly resistant against climatic conditions and offer excellent resistance against industrial and chemical substances. The IP68 and IP69K rating ensures protection from temporary immersion in water and high-pressure washdowns.

The new 12-pin configuration uses crimp contacts to ensure a shock and vibration resistant termination. Silver or gold contacts are available accepting wire gauges between 26 to 18 AWG. Male and female contacts can be purchased individually or reeled. Each contact is rated at 5 A and a 250 V rating can be transmitted overall.
