Hard Metric 2mm Connector offers 6 rows of contacts.

Press Release Summary:

In accordance with IEC 61076-4-101, har-bus® HM 6-row uses same space on daughter card as 5-row variant. Connector facilitates coding and has optional end walls for prevention of contact damage, while guiding system aids in pre-alignment with daughter card. Solderable connector withstands temperatures to 260°C and achieves signal transfer rates up to 2.5 Gbps per differential pair, similar to 12.5 Gbps/cm aggregate bandwidth.

Increased Contact Density for 2 mm Connectors

HARTING expands its wide range of hard metric 2 mm connectors in acc. to IEC 61076-4-101 with the har-bus® HM 6-row. This offers the advantage of an additional row of contacts but uses the same space on the daughter card as a standard 5 row variant.

All connectors have the facility for coding and the option of end walls, thus preventing contact damage. In addition a guiding system is also available to aid pre-alignment of the daughter card and the connector.

HARTING offers the termination variants of press-fit and SMC high temperature reflow solder. The solderable connectors withstand peak temperatures up to 260°C and therefore fully support lead-free process requirements. Provided that a suitable contact configuration is chosen signal transfer rates of up to 2.5 Gbps can be achieved per differential pair, similar to an aggregate bandwidth of 12.5 Gbps/cm.
