3M Introduces Full Brim Hard Hat with Advanced Features

The H-800 series hard hat introduces an innovative design that offers full-brim protection, a smooth ratchet suspension, and also boasts an optional3M™ Uvicator™ Sensor that changes color when the hard hat is exposed to UV light.This feature helps alert the wearer when it’s time to replace the hard hat.
“Over time, the sun’s UV rays can cause a hard hat’s shell to become brittle and compromise its ability to protect the wearer,” says Chris Dujovski, Product Manager for 3M Head, Eye, and Face Protection.“Adding a sun-smart sensor to our H-800 series full brim hard hats helps provide an easily observable indication of when it’s time to take the hard hat out of service due to UV light overexposure.”
