ARM International to Host Hands-On Advanced Seminar In Rotational Molding, June 2-4

Oak Brook, IL - The Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) International will again be hosting the popular Hands-On Advanced Seminar in Rotational Molding, June 2-4, 2004 at the Polymer Processing Research Centre, Ashby Building at The Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This three-day seminar is intended to provide an understanding of the rotational molding process through a combination of presentations and four practical workshops.

The seminar covers a wide range of rotational molding topics such as: polymer grinding, molding operations, effects of mold release agents, effects of molding with pigments/foam, post mold operations, advance rotomolding concepts, computer simulation of rotomolding and much more. During the workshops, attendees will receive "hands-on" experience using laboratory rotational molding equipment and will be able to conduct trials.

Presenting this seminar will be Professor Roy Crawford, Professor of Engineering Materials and Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Development at The Queens University of Belfast. For the past 30 years he has researched the mechanical properties and processing behavior of plastics. During Professor Crawford's last 25 years, he has concentrated on rotational molding. Due to his work, a Research Centre dedicated to polymer research and rotational molding has been established at Queen's University. Professor Crawford also serves as ARM International's Director of Technical Services. Several guest speakers will also assist with other presentations.

Attendance for this seminar is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
