Lowest Cost Handheld XRF Analyzer Released by Skyray XRF

Lockport, NY - Skyray XRF (USA) has officially released the newest version of their Handheld XRF Analyzer to the North American market. The Pocket-III builds upon the strengths of previous versions with the addition of various features and application capabilities.

The Pocket-III from Skyray XRF Instrument is the lowest cost handheld system to utilize x-ray tube technology. A 4kv micro x-ray tube and silicon-pin detector system provide fast, accurate and portable solutions to a wide range of applications. The newest version offers an expanded element range of sulfur (S) to uranium (U) and is designed for testing needs in steel and alloy identification, hazardous substance (RoHS) detection, geological/mining applications and full precious metals analysis.

Additions to the newest version include a laser light alignment feature to increase the accuracy of sample spot location and the ability to automatically adjust various filters for different applications. Improvements include a longer batter life (increased by almost two hours) with an automatic shut-off feature, lighter body components have been sourced so that the final 'x-ray gun' weighs in at less than four pounds while still offering the durability required in day-to-day use and new software that still uses a removable PDA for short-term data storage with Bluetooth technology to transfer results for long term storage and analysis.

"The design and release of this version took some time, but we had certain goals that we hoped to attain - and have" said Scott Kramer, Director of Sales and Marketing. "Being able to offer a high performing handheld XRF at the lowest cost is very exciting to us and we believe this new portable x-ray fluorescence unit will be the highlight of this year."

Skyray XRF (USA) offers low-cost x-ray fluorescence testing solutions throughout North America.
