Press Release Summary:

Comprised of 2 English and 2 metric models, HTM Series use pointer and dial to display RPM and surface speed. Self-contained measuring instruments, featuring rugged construction, accommodate measuring ranges up to 50,000 rpm and surface speeds up to 25,000 fpm. Oversized 3 in. dia dial with 2 separate color scales facilitates reading of rpm and surface speed. Accuracy is ±0.5% over full scale, and 3-position range selector switch provides highest possible resolution for each application.

Original Press Release:

New CheckLine Hand-Held, Mechanical Tachometer Never Needs Batteries.Ideal for Field Use.

Favored by elevator maintenance professionals, mechanical tachometers, such as CheckLine’s new, hand-held, HTM Series, don’t require batteries. Instead, these ruggedly constructed, self-contained measuring instruments use a pointer and dial to display RPM and surface speed quickly and accurately.

Four HTM models —two English and two metric—accommodate measuring ranges up to 50,000 rpm and surface speeds up to 25,000 ft./min (5,000 m/min.). All models feature an oversized 3-inch diameter dial with two separate color scales to make reading rpm (black) and surface speed (red) quick and easy.

In addition to reading speeds on the dial, the user can note the range and frequency of variation of the measurements by watching the speed and span of the pointer movement. A Peak-Hold (memory) button freezes the pointer in “last” position until reset.

The HTM Series provides an accuracy of ±0.5% over the full scale. Its three-position Range Selector Switch (1X, 10X, 100X) provides the highest possible resolution for each application. A rubber shell on the housing provides extra protection and easy gripping. Gauges are CE-certified with NIST-Traceable calibration available as an option.

All models are supplied as a complete kit in a foam-fitted carrying case including cone tip and funnel tip adapters, shaft extension and instruction manual.
