Meriam Process Technologies' New MFC 4100 - a New Generation of HART® Handheld Communicator - has Class I Divison I Intrinsic Safety Certification
Meriam Process Technologies announces the availability of the MFC4100 intrinsically safe documenting HART communicator and Configurator. Intrinsic safety certification allows the MFC 4100 to be used in worst-case hazardous environments with no need for an explosion-proof housing.
The MFC 4100 series has dedicated flash memory for 600 device descriptions and dedicated non-volatile memory for storing over 200 average size device configurations. Other features include a full alphanumeric keypad, large display with back light, configuration cloning, complete HART diagnostics and a significant improvement in device communication speed. The MFC also features an off-line mode for developing or reviewing configurations, and the ability to edit configurations directly from our unique Review/Edit Mode.
New device descriptions may be downloaded from Meriam's web site for ease of field maintainability, and a choice of alkaline or rechargeable batteries provide unparalleled flexibility. These features make the real difference in device commissioning activities, everyday operations, and scheduled or emergency device maintenance or replacement.
