Original Press Release:

Audiovox Enters the Hand-Held TV Market

Las Vegas NV - January 2004 - At the Winter Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Audiovox continued its diversification into the television market by introducing a line of hand-held portable TVs. "We are the leader in the mobile video market. We are in the home video market with under-the-counter TVs, LCD flat panel products and now plasma systems. We believe it's a natural segue for Audiovox to move into the hand-held TV market," says Ralph Etna VP Consumer Sales, Audiovox Electronics Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX).

Etna knows that because the Audiovox name commands a reputation for marketing quality video products, the company has a solid platform on which to launch its new hand-held models. "These products, one of which includes a built-in AM/FM radio, are competitively-priced, designed to appeal to our distributor base and their customers; they should increase sales and profits for our retailers."

Screen sizes range from 2.5 inches to 5 inches to accommodate the most popular consumer preferences. All are high-resolution and include AC/DC adapters for non-portable use. Delivery on most models is expected in early spring. MSRPs will run from $245 for the 5-inch model to $99 for the 2.5-inch model.
