A hand-held beveler that automatically locates the tube I.D. to provide fast end preps on water wall boiler tubes and a track-mount system for precise repetition is available from ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The MillHog® High Speed Hand-Held Beveler is a pneumatic tool that features an automatic pilot locating system on the tube I.D. which eliminates setup time and can perform end preps in only three seconds. Combined with their track-mount system, operators can end-prep entire water wall boiler panel sections without clamps, loose parts falling, or the need for cutting oils.
Available in straight-thru and right-angle models, the MillHog® High Speed Hand-Held Beveler uses a cutterhead that features field-replaceable carbide blade inserts with multiple cutting edges. Models with 5,000 and 10,000 RPM are offered with working ranges from 0.450" I.D. to 4.00" O.D. The tools are designed for use on tube steels found in most power plants.
