Han-Tek and Haynes

VICTOR, NY- Han-Tek, Inc, an Upstate New York integrated materials handling and automation solutions provider, assisted Haynes International, Inc in installing an overhead 10-ton, double girder charging crane for their Kokomo, Indiana facility. Han-Tek provided supply and installation services for the nickel and cobalt developer and manufacturer.

Han-Tek designed an overhead crane to assist Haynes International in increasing their efficiency and productivity levels. The crane was designed to fit within Haynes International's existing runway system. The maximum runway loading for the existing system is 73,000 pounds per wheel. To ensure proper crane operation, it meets CMAA specifications for span, straightness and elevation.

In order to ensure the crane's absolute efficiency, it had to be installed within the CMAA Class F specifications. It also ensures that the crane is working at its most optimal production level. "These cranes must provide the highest reliability with special attention to ease of maintenance features," said Patrick Tobin, Han-Tek's Business Development Manager.
