Sipex Announces New RS485 Featuring High Speed of 20Mbps & 15kV ESD Protection
(Milpitas, CA - November 11, 2003) - Sipex Corporation (NASDAQ: SIPX), a leading provider of high performance, analog integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced a new half duplex RS485 transceiver. The SP1485E features a data rate of 20Mbps with typical transmitter and receiver skews of only 2ns and 5ns and propagation delays of 20ns and 30ns respectively. Capable of driving as many as 32 transceivers on a bus and offering high ESD protection of +/-15kV on I/O lines, this part is ideal for high-speed networking.
The SP1485E operates off of a single +5V supply and features fail-safe at the receiver inputs to guarantee logic high outputs when the receiver inputs are open.
