Gundrill System with Counter-Rotation Provides Extremely Close Tolerances
Kent, OH: TechniDrill Systems, Inc., a global manufacturer of gundrill, BTA and ejector deep hole drilling systems, has introduced the Model 100CR, which offers the most accurate gundrilling yet achieved.
Utilizing counter-rotation of the workpiece and the cutting tool, customers report that the 100CR has attained an accuracy of .005 inches runout in 40" depth. In addition, the system's capability to work within very close tolerances is the result of precise laser alignment.
According to James D. Sundberg, vice president of TechniDrill, "The 100CR produces the most concentric, close tolerance deep holes obtainable using a gundrilling machine." A veteran of 30 years in the deep hole drilling industry, Sundberg noted that, "The counter-rotation system offers users the best assurance of repeatable accuracy at high levels of production in all deep hole applications."
