TORONTO and LONDON, October 16/ - Low Cost Transatlantic Flight Innovator Allows Passengers to Purchase Gatwick Express Train Tickets During Flight to Make Trips More Convenient

GuestLogix Inc. (TSX-V:GXI), the leading provider of on-board retail solutions to the airline industry, today announced that Zoom Airlines Ltd.
has selected Mobile Virtual Store(TM) to process on-board cash, credit and debit card purchases on its transatlantic flights from London to New York and Bermuda. Zoom Airlines Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zoom Airlines Inc. based in Ottawa, Ontario.

"We are pleased that Zoom Airlines is using our solution to offer payment choice and flexibility to its customers," said Tom Douramakos, President and CEO at GuestLogix. "Low cost operators endeavour to offer the lowest scheduled airfares with the same standards of service that travelers are used to with major carriers. Our Mobile Virtual Store gives them new opportunities for ancillary revenue growth while providing a better travel experience in the process."

The GuestLogix Mobile Virtual Store(TM) is the most proven on-board retail platform in the airline industry today. Covering nearly 300 million passenger trips annually the solution is increasingly being recognized by operators globally as their preferred on-board retailing standard. The solution enables airlines to become profitable on-board retailers serving captive audiences whose characteristics and needs change from flight to flight. The platform helps operators realize new revenue streams by optimizing their planning and forecasting, facilitating on-board sales transactions and providing rapid intelligence to on-board retail trends to support merchandising, promotions, and logistics.

The Zoom Airlines implementation will include point-of-sale wireless handheld devices and web-provisioned software from GuestLogix to manage their complete on-board retail operation from the warehouse to loading, right through the on-board sales cycle to post flight cash management, credit card handling, inventory control and sales analysis. In co-operation with Airport Express, Zoom will also be able to sell Gatwick Express train tickets to passengers on-board for downtown transfers using the Mobile Virtual Store(TM) handheld which will print the ticket on-demand during flight.

Ancillary revenues from on-board retail sales are becoming more and more critical in the day-to-day operations and profitability of airlines. Experts predict that 20% of airline profits will be generated by on-board retail sales in the future. As hundreds of millions of dollars are already being realized today, carriers are seeking new content providers and product vendors to enable them to provide more saleable products and services to their captive audiences in the sky. The GuestLogix platform provides an ideal, ready-made channel for on-board retail partners involved with in-flight entertainment, food and beverage, merchandising, duty-free sales, business communications systems, and destination-based products and services.
