GSTA and IP Unity Glenayre Deploy Voice Portal Solution for China Telecom

Thousands of Chinese Businesses to benefit from unified communications platform

19 June 2007 - China Telecom, one of the world's largest telecom operators, has selected a Voice and Data Portal Solution based on the
Mereon® Media Server and Application Server from IP Unity Glenayre, a leader in delivering carrier-grade messaging and multimedia solutions over IP, TDM and enterprise networks, in an innovative pilot scheme.

IP Unity Glenayre collaborated with GSTA (China Telecom Guangzhou R&D Center), to develop a voice portal solution for small to medium size enterprise customers. GSTA is one of three research and development centers for China Telecom. The Voice and Data portal will be initially deployed to 30,000 China Telecom end users in three major cities:
Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen.

With the new service launch, subscribers will be able to manage all of their critical business communications through a single portal, including fax, audio conferencing, data collaboration, IVR, email, single number service, SMS, and Click to Conference.
