LandMark Offers SiMS Growth and Yield Simulator, a Powerful Resource for Foresters
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 2 / -- LandMark Systems announces today the introduction of SiMS, a new and innovative growth and yield simulation software tool, to its product line. The SiMS software provides forestry professionals the latest technology for use in long-range planning for small to large parcels. LandMark Systems' goal of providing efficient managing solutions to the forestry and natural resources industries has led them to establish a partnership with ForesTech International, LLC, the developer of SiMS, in order to better serve the needs of their clients.

The SiMS software provides growth and yield simulation along with financial analysis for the three major species of southern pine as well as for mixed pine/hardwood stands, which provides foresters with information about the impact of silvicultural treatments on the growth of these trees. The use of this software allows foresters to develop and evaluate management plans from both a biological and financial point of view. Other services that are available include, but are not limited to, Inventory Updates, Harvest Scheduling, Acquisition Analysis, and production of customized yield tables for use in commercial harvest scheduling tools.
