GROWit Takes Rapid Prototyping and 3-D Printing Services to New Heights, with the Purchase of a Connex500(TM)

Billerica, MA, USA - January 30, 2008 - Objet Geometries Ltd., the world leader in ultra-thin layer photopolymer jetting, today announced that GROWit of Anaheim, CA has purchased a Connex500(TM) 3-D Printing System - the world's first system capable of printing parts and assemblies made of multiple model materials all in a single build. As the first service bureau in the West Coast to purchase the all-new Connex500, GROWit is able to offer customers unprecedented speed and flexibility in creating complex parts and models that require more than one material, such as are traditionally produced using over molding techniques.

In addition to being able to print single-build models made out of several different materials and models of different materials on one build tray, the Connex500 gives GROWit the ground-breaking ability to fabricate composite materials, called "Digital Materials" on-the-fly. The revolutionary "Digital Materials" are created during the build process and have preset combinations of mechanical properties that are not available with single materials.

The Connex500 is based on Objet's breakthrough PolyJet Matrix(TM) Technology. It establishes a new era in rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing, opening the way to virtually unlimited opportunities for emulating the look, feel and function of final products more closely than ever before possible. The Connex500 offers particularly compelling cost and time advantages for applications that would usually require the gluing of separate parts made of different materials and for end-products that involve double injection or over-molding production. "Our engineering team is thrilled to be designing with the latest tools in composite structures. We strongly believe that the future of design and manufacturing lies in local optimization of material properties and the Connex500 allows us to do just that" says David Gurrola, Co-Founder of GROWit.

About GROWit
GROWit, a start -up prototype service bureau, founded by David Gurrola and Carl Kasalek in July 2007 is based out of Anaheim, CA is developing their rapid prototyping service capabilities at a healthy rate which will allow them to stay on the leading edge of the available technologies in RP. Although they are a startup company, GROWit has put a major focus into supporting their customers with professional engineers; including three mechanical engineers, one electrical engineer, and one manufacturing engineer. Combined, their technical team alone has over sixty years of experience in aerospace, medical equipment, consumer electronics, and automotive industries. With this broad experience supporting their sales staff, GROWit can provide their customers with superior service and expert advice which has been acknowledged within the industry as an outstanding asset.
