Ground Guardian Resistance Monitor
Increased concerns for Operator Safety and System Efficiency require low resistance, stable, zero current grounding systems. Managing grounding systems has always been limited to periodic testing and/or waiting for a grounding related problem to occur. Periodic Testing has its own challenges of disconnecting ground connection and available real estate for executing the IEEE 81 recommended Fall of Potential Test. Successful periodic testing only measures the current state of the grounding system. Problems could occur thereafter and one would never know.
Changes in ambient conditions directly effect soil moisture content and temperature which are important factors influencing ground resistance. This problem is solved with the introduction of Alltec Corporation's GroundGuardian®. Now you never have to worry about your grounding system again as the continuous monitoring feature, coupled with remote access capability and audible alarms, provides information regarding any changes in the integrity of the grounding system. This allows execution of corrective action before any ground resistance incident.
Remember: Periodic testing can be expensive, up to $750 for each test. If done quarterly, it could cost $3,000 per year!
