Murrelektronik Introduces Modlink MSDD GFCI Insert

Duluth, Georgia, May 30, 2009 - Murrelektronik recently added the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to its highly successful range of Modlink MSDD front panel interfaces. Featuring a sleek, modular design, the insert can be integrated into any type of Modlink MSDD dual mounting frame, from transparent plastic to metal to silver or black.

The GFCI is equipped with integrated residual current protection and is able to compare the outgoing current with the returning current. Additionally, the insert stops the current flow when any discrepancies arise, and also identifies malfunctions such as leakage current of 4 - 6 mA and reacts in less than a second to considerably reduce the risk of fatal electric shock.
