Anvil® International Introduces New Gruvlok® CTS Grooved Copper System

Portsmouth, NH, January 26, 2009 - Anvil® International has added another alternative solution to its broad range of piping products with the introduction of its Gruvlok® CTS Copper System, a grooved copper system that requires only a wrench for assembly on grooved end pipe, eliminating conventional soldering and brazing.

Anvil is a subsidiary of Mueller Water Products, Inc. (NYSE: MWA.B, MWA), a leading North American manufacturer and marketer of infrastructure and flow control products for use in water distribution networks and treatment facilities.

The Anvil CTS Copper System allows installers of large diameter copper tubing - for new construction or retrofit jobs - to install faster and easier, with no sweating or brazing required, and it eliminates temperature and weather factors as installation concerns. As a "flame-free" system, CTS eliminates any fire hazard, increasing on-the-job safety.

Gruvlok® CTS Copper System fittings mate directly to copper tube, providing a rigid and durable locked-in connection for tube size ranging from 2" to 8" in diameter, and because there's a union at every joint, fast assembly is assured.

CTS fittings, constructed to ASTM B75 UNS C12200 with minimum copper content of 99.9 percent and NSF Approved, are produced with groove and cup ends in a variety of configurations. In addition to elbow, tee and cap fittings the system includes concentric reducers, reducing tees, flange adapters, the Gruvlok 6400 Rigid Coupling and butterfly valves.

The Gruvlok 6400 Rigid Coupling is specifically designed to provide a rigid pipe connection to meet the specific demands of copper tubing installation. It comes with a standard Grade "E" EPDM flush gap gasket (copper color code.)

Anvil has produced a 12-page brochure on its Gruvlok CTS Copper System. To download a copy visit HYPERLINK "http://www.anvilintl.com/literature" www.anvilintl.com/literature and click on Brochures.
