Ingersoll-Rand Introduces New G-Series Grinders

Annandale, New Jersey - Ingersoll-Rand Productivity Solutions introduces a new line of industrial grinders, the G-Series, designed to uphold the company's tradition of durability and reliability in the grinder market. The three models in the G-Series - the G1, G2, and G3 - are designed to handle a wide variety of grinding, cutting, and material removal jobs.

The compact G1 offers 0.4 horsepower, making it ideal for light material removal, cleaning rough castings and welds, deburring parts, and other finishing tasks. Available in straight, angle, and extended straight configurations, the G1 Series packs a lot of power in a small package.

The slightly larger G2 Series performs at an even more impressive 0.8 horsepower which is suited for heavier-duty grinding, cutting, cleaning, and polishing applications. In addition this grinder has an angle head option rated for 2,000+ hours of use and is available in straight, extended straight, angle, and extended angle configurations.

Built for the biggest jobs - heavy material removal with burs, grinding wheels, and coated abrasives - the G3 offers a full 1.35 horsepower and a superior power-to-weight ratio. The G3 also features fully adjustable power with an internal contamination-free air controller that maintains tool speed regardless of the load. Similar to the G2, the G3 also offers an angle head rated for 2,000+ hours of use and is available in extended straight, angle, and extended angle configurations.

Each grinder in the G-Series features an ergonomic D-shaped handle for more comfortable operation, one-nut removal for convenient motor repair, low noise and vibration, and a separate replaceable cylinder that extends the life of the grinder. The G-Series' easy serviceability, combined with its increased power and productivity, reduces ownership costs as well.

The new G-Series industrial grinders are the first Ingersoll-Rand tools to earn the Productivity Rated distinction, an emblem created by Ingersoll-Rand to identify industrial-grade tools that meet very stringent requirements in the following key areas: Productivity, Reliability, Serviceability, and Health and Safety.

The productivity rated distinction is an example of Ingersoll-Rand's commitment to producing the best tools on the market.
